The experience

How we
arrange it.

A cooking class is the experience guests are most surprised by how much they enjoy: an apron, a glass of something local, and a couple of hours making the pasta, the sauce and the dessert you then sit down and eat. It works for couples, for a group of friends, and especially for families with children who want to be involved.

We arrange them in your own villa kitchen with a chef who brings the ingredients, or at partner estates that run their own — Castelfalfi, for instance, offers a cooking class on the estate. The lesson usually ends in the long lunch it produced.

What You Will Make

Most classes centre on fresh pasta — pici rolled by hand, tagliatelle, ravioli — a classic ragù or a sugo from the garden, and a Tuscan dessert. Market-to-table versions start earlier, with the morning shop at the local market, so the lesson is as much about choosing as cooking.

At Your Villa, or at the Estate

In your own kitchen, a travelling chef brings everything and leaves it spotless; at estates that run their own class, such as Castelfalfi, you cook in their kitchens as part of the visit. Either way it is hands-on, unhurried, and ends in the meal everyone made together.

What we arrange

  • A private cooking class at the villa or the estate
  • A chef who brings the ingredients and the know-how
  • Fresh pasta, the ragù and a Tuscan dessert
  • Market-to-table classes that start with the shop
  • Hands-on sessions that work for children
  • The long lunch it produces
