The essence
Villa Ghirlandaio is the historic heart of the estate that carries its name — the country residence the famous Ghirlandaio painters kept five centuries ago. Its façade opens onto a formal Renaissance garden and an ornamental pool that mirrors the Tuscan sky. Across 328 square metres, the villa unfolds with a natural elegance: two serene sitting rooms, a fireside dining room, and five king bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and views that frame the landscape like paintings. Beyond the windows, a private garden slopes gently toward the olive grove, where a wisteria-draped pergola is set for long lunches, golden-hour gatherings and slow, lingering aperitivi. It is, in every sense, the soul of Dimora Ghirlandaio — a place where Renaissance heritage and contemporary comfort live in perfect harmony.

The distinction
Renaissance heritage — a 600-year-old artistic hamlet once home to the Ghirlandaio family, offering guests the rare privilege of living inside Tuscany's cultural legacy.
Private estate luxury — one of six independent villas, fully staffed, with access to a private spa, vineyards, gardens and services, for a world of quiet, high-touch exclusivity near Florence.
Curated guest experiences — from frescoed chapels to chef-led dining and immersive Tuscan activities, every moment crafted for travellers seeking depth, beauty and authenticity.
The house
Restored by the Cecchi family with a careful hand, the villa keeps the proportions and grace of a Renaissance country house while folding in every modern comfort: a large, fully equipped kitchen stocked with the estate's own organic olive oil, climate control, fast Wi-Fi and bedrooms with walk-in wardrobes. Two sitting rooms and a dining room with an open fire anchor the interior.
The setting
Dimora Ghirlandaio sits in the rolling, olive-clad hills of Impruneta, fifteen minutes south of Florence — close enough to watch the Duomo rise from the city below, far enough to hear only birdsong. The villa's garden gives onto the olive grove and the formal Renaissance garden at the hamlet's centre.

Living here
Breakfast on the pergola, a morning in Florence twenty minutes away, an afternoon by the panoramic pool or in the vaulted spa, and dinner from the estate's private kitchen — perhaps after a painting lesson in the Renaissance garden, or a hot-air balloon lifting from the park at dawn.
