The essence
Borgo delle Vigne is a small hilltop hamlet of three separately restored stone farmhouses — a two-storey Main Villa, a two-storey Cottage and a one-bedroom Capanna annex with its own gym and wellness centre — set among the vineyards of the historic Ricasoli estate, with the medieval Castello di San Polo in Rosso as a backdrop. Together the three houses sleep up to twenty-two across nine en-suite bedrooms, hand-carved wooden beams and an open-plan feel running through the Main Villa's dining room and out onto terraces that lead to the pool, garden, gym and spa. Outside, a 12 x 7 metre heated, salt-chlorinated pool with Roman steps sits close to a private hot tub tucked into the trees, and a wood-fired pizza oven anchors long evenings on the covered dining terrace.

Architecture & restoration
The Main Villa's ground floor holds a fully equipped kitchen with central island and pizza oven, a dining room, an outdoor dining terrace, a TV room and a lounge, with three bedrooms upstairs, each with its own bathroom. The Cottage adds four further en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor and one more upstairs, with its own kitchen and a first-floor sitting area. The Capanna annex, reached across the garden, holds a private gym, a further en-suite bedroom with a mezzanine sofa bed, and a small wellness centre with sauna and shower.
