The occasion
What we do,
and don’t.
A private estate is a serious setting for a leadership offsite, a board retreat or a reward trip for a small senior team. Exclusive use means the conversation stays in the room, and the room happens to open onto a vineyard. We hold houses with the meeting space, the connectivity and the discretion these trips actually need.
They work best for smaller, senior groups: a leadership team of eight to twenty, a board, a hand-picked incentive group, rather than a large all-hands event. The value is the privacy and the shared table, not a conference centre with breakout rooms.
What Makes an Estate Work for a Retreat
The non-negotiables are a room that comfortably seats the whole group, fibre Wi-Fi that holds up for a video call, and exclusive use so nothing leaves the property. After that it is the things a hotel cannot offer: the long dinner table where the real conversation happens, grounds to walk and think in, and a pool for the hour between sessions.
Days That Are Not All Meetings
The best offsites do their work over a shared experience as much as across a table. We arrange the ones that double as team activities: a guided tasting in the estate's own cellar, a cooking class that ends in the dinner you then eat, a truffle hunt, a long lunch at a producer's table. Tell us the balance of work and not-work and we build the days around it.
Logistics, Discretion and Catering
Airport transfers, a private chef for the group, a property manager on call, and a single point of contact throughout — handled. We are used to the practical needs of corporate trips: clean invoicing to the company, discretion as standard, and a contract that one person can sign. Tell us your set-up and we match the house to it.

Villas suited to this
Frequently asked
- How large a group suits a villa retreat?
- Best for senior groups of roughly 8 to 20. Our largest estates sleep up to 22 in private bedrooms, and we can pair properties for more.
- Is there meeting space and reliable Wi-Fi?
- Yes. We place corporate groups in houses with a room that seats the team and fibre Wi-Fi throughout; tell us your set-up and we match the property.
- Can you arrange team activities?
- Yes: private tastings, cooking classes, guided wine or truffle days, and the long lunches that tend to get the real conversation done.
- Can you invoice a company directly?
- Yes. We issue a single contract and invoice and keep one point of contact for the trip.
- When is best for a corporate retreat?
- Spring and autumn — comfortable temperatures, quieter, and easier availability than peak summer.
