The occasion

What we do,
and don’t.

A handful of the estates in our collection are licensed to host weddings: the kind where the ceremony, the long dinner under the limes and the dancing all happen on one piece of private land, with no other guests but yours. We are not a wedding-planning factory. We represent the houses, we know which are licensed for what, and we introduce the planners and suppliers we genuinely trust.

Our largest historic estates host weddings of roughly sixty to one hundred and twenty guests, depending on the property's individual licence and the layout of its grounds. Smaller celebrations — an elopement, a dinner for thirty — suit a far wider range of the collection. We will tell you honestly which house fits the wedding you are describing, and which does not.

What a Tuscan Villa Wedding Involves

The shape of the day is the reason to marry at a private estate: an afternoon ceremony in the garden or a deconsecrated chapel, a drinks hour as the light drops, a long dinner outdoors, and dancing that does not have to stop for anyone else's bedtime. Because the estate is yours alone for the stay, the wedding is not squeezed between a hotel's other bookings.

On the legal side: some estates can host a binding civil ceremony, but many couples complete the legal formalities at home or at the local comune and hold a symbolic ceremony at the villa, which removes the paperwork from the day itself. We tell you which is possible at each house before you fall for it.

Which Villas Are Licensed for Weddings

Weddings sit mostly with our Historic Estate and Restored Borgo houses — the properties with the scale, the grounds and, crucially, the licence. Capacity varies by estate, from intimate dinners up to the larger celebrations of a hundred or more. "Licensed" matters: a beautiful house without an events licence cannot host the party, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Where the guest list outgrows the bedrooms, we pair the wedding estate with neighbouring villas so the wider party stays within walking or short-driving distance and the celebration stays in one place.

Planners, Catering and Suppliers

We are not the planner, and we would not pretend to be. What we do is introduce the professional wedding planners we trust in each part of Tuscany, and the catering — whether the estate's own kitchen or a brought-in chef brigade — flowers, music, photography and transport from a vetted roster. You keep one relationship with us for the house and the logistics; the planner runs the day.

What we arrange

  • Introductions to wedding planners we trust
  • Catering — the estate kitchen or a brought-in chef brigade
  • Accommodation for the wedding party across the estate

  • A site visit before you commit

Frequently asked

How many guests can a Tuscan villa wedding hold?
Our largest historic estates host roughly 60 to 120 for the celebration, subject to each property's individual licence. Intimate weddings of up to about 30 suit a much wider range of the collection.
Can we hold a legally binding ceremony at the villa?
Some estates can host a legal civil ceremony; many couples instead complete the legal formalities at home or at the local comune and hold a symbolic ceremony at the villa. We will tell you which is possible at each house.
Do you plan the wedding yourselves?
No — we represent the houses and introduce the planners and suppliers we trust. The planning is run by a professional planner, with us alongside on the property and logistics.
When is the best time to marry in Tuscany?
Late May into June and September into early October: warm, lower risk of extreme heat, and the light at its best. July and August are the hottest and busiest months.
Where do the wedding guests sleep?
On the estate where possible. For larger weddings we pair the primary villa with nearby properties so the party stays together.
How far ahead should we book?
Twelve to eighteen months for a peak-season Saturday at the most-requested estates.
