A villa for eight is the most natural size in Tuscany: four couples, or two families, in a house where nobody shares a bathroom and the dining table still fits everyone. Expect four or five bedrooms, a private pool, and weekly rates from about €10,000 in the shoulder season. Every house below sleeps at least eight in proper bedrooms, not on sofa beds.

What eight guests actually needs

The number that matters is not beds but bathrooms. Eight adults sharing two bathrooms will be counting minutes by the third morning; four en-suites make the same house feel twice the size. The second question is the table. A group of eight eats together every night, which means one table that seats eight without a folding chair at the end, ideally outside under something. It sounds obvious. It is the single most common thing guests thank us for afterwards.

Where eight-guest villas sit best

At this size the whole of Tuscany is open to you, which makes region the real decision rather than availability. Chianti puts Florence and Siena within 45 minutes; the Val d'Orcia trades that for the postcard landscape and longer drives; the Lucca plain suits groups who want a walkable city and the coast in the same week.
